Charity of the Month - Food Bank of the Hudson Valley
For July, Johnstons Subaru chose The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley as our Charity of the Month.Â
The Food Bank is a 501(c)3 organization located in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. It serves more than 400 feeding programs in six counties - Orange, Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Sullivan. The feeding programs that the Food Bank serves consist of food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, day care centers, senior programs, rehabilitation programs, and programs for the disabled. Each $1 donation allows the Food Bank to provide 4 meals worth of food to the hungry in our communities.Â
The Food Bank's goal is to alleviate hunger and to prevent waste of wholesome food. Last year the Food Bank distributed over 12 million pounds of food in the Hudson Valley.
